Doris Msibi is the founder of Capricorn Institute, a professional image consulting company which offers services to individuals, corporate companies and government departments. She recently launched the Capricorn Institute training division of the company which trains individuals interested in becoming qualified image consultants. Her work takes her all over the country and to neighboring countries such as Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland. She is an accredited member of the Association of Image consultants International (AICI) in the USA and Association of Professional Image Consultants South Africa (APICSA).
Msibi is the current presenter on E-TV’s “Forgive and Forget”, a reality television show, is a member of the board of the APICSA, was named “Woman on Top” in the August 2007 issue of True Love Magazine, woman of the week by Woman24.com (See Website: http://www.women24.com/Women24/CareersMoney/AtWork/Article/0,,1-5-57_15665,00.html) and “Inspiring Woman of the Month” in April 2007 by the South African

Her awareness, interest and skill within image and impression management realm is an extension of who she has become over a period of time. She believes that each and every one of us exists for a specific reason and that it is our task to find out what that reason is. Her dream is to touch as many lives as possible, imparting her knowledge and skills and to many women in Africa learn to know, accept and love themselves for who they are because she believes there is nothing more attractive than a confident woman.
Msibi reigned as Mrs. South Africa Globe 2006/07 (Website Address: http://www.mrsglobe.com), and received the “Image of Globe Award at the
Mrs. Globe international finals and also appointed as the face of the “SMILE
Programme” a charity foundation by dentists raising funds for the WIN
Foundation and was awarded the rights to run the Right Living Programme, a personal power programme derived by Dr. Tracy Kemble of the Woman In Need Foundation in California, USA.
In her spare time, Doris works as a programme director at corporate functions as well as a counselor and motivational speaker for the youth in high schools in Soweto as well as for Child line, Soweto branch.
Her educational background includes: Fashion Design, Human Resources and Psychology (current). Her work experience includes working as Public Relations Manager for the KORA All Africa Music Awards and launched the first Miss Malaika beauty pageant in SA; working as a Customer Relations Agent; working as a Recruitment Consultant; having done promotional, modelling and marketing work, in her personal capacity, for the following brands: Nike, Ebony Hair, Dark and Lovely, Black Like me, Caivil, True Love and Y Magazines. At the age of 18, owned and managed a training academy franchise, Figures Academy of Modelling and Personal Development in Rosebank, JHB, SA. She also held beauty titles of Miss Soweto 2000, Miss Teen Gauteng in 1999 and Miss Eldorado Park in1998. She is married with two children.
